To enhance the travel experience, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered that unique immigration counters be set up for foreigners at all international airports in Pakistan.
The PM Office Media Wing made the announcement in a news release on Saturday, with the goal of increasing tourism and expediting the visa procedure for foreign tourists.
Additionally, the effort aims to facilitate foreign investors’ travel to and commercial dealings in Pakistan and guarantee the continuation of trade activity.
According to the press release, the decision was made to “promote tourism in Pakistan, ensure continuity in business activities, and further facilitate foreign investment.”
As an ancillary effect, it is anticipated that the separation of immigration lines will speed up the clearance process for Pakistani nationals going home in addition to cutting down on processing times for foreigners.
It further stated, “The government’s initiative is part of a broader strategy to make Pakistan more welcoming and appealing for international business delegations, investors, and tourists.”
