Sahiwal (UPA) – DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu and Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Samiullah Farooq visited the central procession route of Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA) and reviewed the security arrangements at Central Imambargah Qasr-e-Batool and along the procession route. They issued instructions to ensure foolproof security arrangements.
During the visit, they inspected security measures, entry and exit points, walk-through gates, CCTV cameras, and police deployment. The DPO directed concerned officers to ensure strict security arrangements for the processions and religious gatherings on the occasion of Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA). He also ordered strict checking and effective checkpoints along the procession route to avoid any untoward incident.
He further instructed that all buildings along the procession route be thoroughly swept, entry points be properly monitored, and participants be comprehensively checked. He emphasized maintaining effective coordination among all relevant departments to ensure law and order. The DPO stated that Sahiwal Police is taking all possible measures to protect the lives and property of citizens and to ensure the peaceful conduct of religious gatherings, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
