According to Indian media, the Wrestling Federation of India has suspended 11 wrestlers for submitting fake birth certificates.
Indian media say that in the verification, 11 wrestlers were caught forging their age, and the birth certificates of the wrestlers were fake and updated through Photoshop. In some cases, birth certificates were issued 12 to 15 years after birth.
According to the Wrestling Federation of India, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi verified the birth certificates of 95 wrestlers.
The Wrestling Federation of India says that we want a transparent system. 6 wrestlers have now been suspended for submitting fake birth certificates, while the remaining 5 have been suspended earlier.
