President Asif Ali Zardari issued a message on Kashmir Exploitation Day, saying that India ended the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019.
The Indian move was aimed at weakening the Kashmiri’s right to self-determination, India took a number of steps to change the demographic structure and political map of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
President Asif Ali Zardari said that arbitrary delimitation, inclusion of non-Kashmiris in the voter list is part of the Indian strategy, after August 5, 2019, India increased repression in occupied Kashmir.
The President said that attempts are being made to disempower the people of Kashmir in their own homeland, the people of occupied Kashmir are suffering from threats, unjustified arrests and sieges. Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris until their legitimate rights are achieved.
