PTI leaders Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz have challenged the Election Commission’s decision to disqualify them.
Omar Ayub has filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court against the decision of the Election Commission to declare the decision illegal and void.
Shibli Faraz also filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court against the disqualification, stating that the Election Commission had illegally declared the disqualification, the decision of the disqualification should be annulled.
After the convictions in the May 9 cases, the Election Commission yesterday disqualified nine members of parliament, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Senator Shibli Faraz and MNA Omar Ayub.
