Sahiwal (UPA): An important meeting was held at the Commissioner Office Sahiwal under the chairmanship of Director Development & Finance Shafeeq Ahmad Dogar, in which tenders for various development projects related to the Highways Department of District Sahiwal were formally opened. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Technical عمران خان, officials of the Highways Department, and a large number of contractors.
During the meeting, progress was made on several important road construction and rehabilitation projects. The estimated costs are as follows:
Construction of 0.25 km long Bhuttongar Road: Rs. 4,049,000
Rehabilitation and improvement of 0.25 km long Berki Street, Scheme No. 3: Rs. 4,058,000
Rehabilitation of Muhammad Pur Road from Shamdar to Chak No. 90/6R: Rs. 4,042,000
0.25 km long metal road at Gali Sheikh Yaqoob Wali Bhuttongar: Rs. 4,043,000
Construction of metal road at Gali Tawakkal Shirazi Wali, Muhammadiya Town 86/6R: Rs. 4,053,000
Rehabilitation of road at Gali Ground Wali, Muslim Bin Aqeel Colony: Rs. 4,044,000
Metal road inside LBDC Colony: Rs. 4,041,000
Construction and repair of Streets No. 3 & 4, Mohalla Ansari: Rs. 4,044,000
Addressing the meeting, Shafeeq Ahmad Dogar directed officials to ensure transparency and merit, emphasizing that all development projects must be completed according to prescribed standards and within the stipulated time to provide better travel facilities to the public. He expressed that timely completion of district development projects would strengthen infrastructure and boost the local economy.
