HYDERABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has asked the government to issue a new National Finance Commission Award.

Talking to the media in Hyderabad, Bilawal Bhutto said that for the first time, I am seeing Hyderabad developing rapidly, various projects, including the Ring Road, are underway. While Hyderabad should also have an airport, I will ask the Prime Minister to give this gift to Hyderabad.

He said that the historic success on the 26th Amendment is not for a particular period but is permanent, the 27th Amendment is a matter of air, I am hearing from you, and we have not been contacted by the government so far for the 27th Amendment.

Chairman PPP demanded that the federal government immediately convene a meeting of the National Finance Commission and issue a new NFC award, saying that we should give responsibilities to the provincial governments, but the NFC award is the same.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the federal government should not put the burden of its failures on the provinces. There is no fault of the provinces in the failure to achieve the tax targets of the FBR; it is the failure of the federal government and those running the FBR. Responsibilities transferred to the provinces by the 18th Amendment Their resources should also be given to the provinces.
