Sahiwal (UPA News)Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq, has directed strict enforcement of the ban on donkey carts entering the city. He stated that donkey carts disrupt traffic flow and affect cleanliness. He instructed municipal authorities to ensure strict compliance.
He was presiding over a District Coordination Committee meeting attended by DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Niaz Ahmed Mughal, AC Sahiwal Maham Wahid, and officials from law enforcement and district departments.
The Deputy Commissioner ordered that a crackdown against illegal petrol pumps be completed within a week and LPG cylinders installed in vehicles be immediately removed to ensure public safety.
He further stated that High Street, College Chowk to Mall Mandi Chowk, Arrahtala Road, and Allama Iqbal Road would be developed as model roads with special focus on cleanliness and removal of encroachments. He also directed strict action against illegal occupation of urban land, graveyards, and government property. Departments were instructed to ensure their presence on social media and effectively communicate with the public.
