BAHAWALPUR: (UPA) A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Abbasiya campus in connection with the centenary celebrations of the Islamic University of Bahawalpur. The Vice-Chancellor of Islamia University, Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, and Prince Bahawal Abbas Khan Abbasi hoisted the flag. On the occasion, the Pre-University Security Guard saluted the National Flag.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran said that August 14th is a milestone in our national existence. Pakistan is a masterpiece of Allama Iqbal’s vision and Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership. The Vice-Chancellor paid tribute to the contributions of Mohsin Pakistan and the founder of Jamia Islamia, Bahawalpur Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V, for the establishment and stability of Pakistan. He said that in recent times, when the enemy attacked our borders, our forces gave excellent evidence of protecting not only the geographical but also the ideological borders.
Nawab Bahawal Abbas Khan Abbasi said that the move to develop teaching and research under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor at Islamia University Bahawalpur on modern lines, especially linking artificial intelligence to all sciences, is very welcome. On the occasion, Noman Farooqui, teacher of Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur, highlighted the educational, social, and economic initiatives of the state of Bahawalpur and the services of Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran presented a commemorative shield to Nawab Bahawalpur Abbas Khan Abbasi. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor and Nawab Bahawal Abbas Khan Abbasi, on behalf of the State Care Department, distributed the saplings of the plantation campaign to the students and students.
Vice-Chancellor and Prince of Bahawalpur Abbas Khan Abbasi launched the plantation drive at Islamia University, Bahawalpur, on behalf of Habib Bank Limited. The Vice-Chancellor also distributed gifts given by the Sailani Welfare Organization to the university employees.
