Sahiwal (UPA News) – The CCM Railway has once again suspended the Karachi Express until further notice. Today, the 16 Down Karachi Express from Lahore to Karachi could not depart. Likewise, tomorrow (Friday), the 15 Up Karachi Express from Karachi to Lahore will also not operate. Passengers of the Karachi Express will be accommodated on alternative trains.
Railway authorities’ repeated decisions have caused severe inconvenience to passengers who made advance bookings. Many only learn about the cancellation upon reaching the station. Although passengers’ mobile numbers are printed on their tickets, they are not informed about train cancellations. Moreover, no announcements are made at stations where the canceled trains have scheduled stops. In these circumstances, passengers are deeply frustrated, as Pakistan Railways frequently cancels trains and leaves them without assistance. Previously, trains used to reach destinations after long delays, but now even departures have become uncertain.
