Sahiwal (UPA): After videos circulating on social media showed a poor citizen being tortured in the market area of Police Station Kameer and later at the suspects’ dera, DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu took immediate notice of the incident and ordered the arrest of the suspects.
Acting on the orders of the DPO Sahiwal, SHO Police Station Kameer Shakeel Ahmed, along with his team, conducted an immediate operation. The police recovered the affected citizen, Muhammad Yousaf son of Khadim Hussain, caste Muslim Sheikh, resident of Mohalla Islam Pura Kameer, and took prompt action against those involved in the assault. The main accused, Rana Adeel, has been arrested.
Police are conducting raids to arrest the other suspects involved in the incident.
DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu stated that no leniency will be shown to those who take the law into their own hands, and the protection of citizens will be ensured at all costs.
